Why it exists

Most vocabulary apps start from a list. Scenio starts from what is in front of you: the coffee you are ordering, the shelf in a pharmacy, the platform at a train station.

The words and phrases for real things and places are the ones you actually need, especially when you travel or are getting used to everyday life in a new language. Scenio helps you learn them from your own photos, and rehearse the conversation before you go.

What it does

Photograph an object or a whole scene to get the words, pronunciation and example sentences, plus the phrases you would say and the replies you might hear in that place.
Save words as stickers from your own photos, and bring them back in daily review.
Atlas: 70+ everyday places with sample conversations. One full Atlas lesson per scene is free; AI role-play is part of Premium.
Pinyin for Chinese and furigana for Japanese.
Free to start, with an optional monthly or yearly Premium plan (prices in the App Store). No account needed, and no ads.

Timeline

July 9, 2026: first released on the App Store, as SightWord AI.
September 12, 2026: renamed Scenio in version 2.0.0. Your vocabulary, photos and progress carried over.
Android: an Android version is coming soon.

Languages and devices

Scenio supports 25 languages, including English (US and UK), Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Pick any native and learning pair, except two variants of the same language.
